The Ceylon Resort is ideal starting point for a safari in the Wilpattu National Park.
With its 1080 km², Wilpattu National Park is the largest protected area in Sri Lanka with the largest population of the Sri Lanka Leopard, formerly Ceylon Leopard. Besides elephants, wild boars, deer, reptiles, mongooses, various bird species, the endangered sloth bear can also be observed with a little luck.
In the national park there is a very rich lake landscape, which invites to stay for further animal observations.
We organize safari tours in Wilpattu National Park with is a private safari jeep for you.
There are two categories of safari tours: full day and half day in the morning or afternoon.
- Full day safari from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Morning safari from 6:00 am to about 11:00 am
- Afternoon safari from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
